Our story
Brass Oaks is a brother-sister acoustic duo from the Sacramento/Wilton area. Our sound is a unique blend of old country, folk, southern rock, classic rock, alternative, and indie, presented in a warm acoustic style. We are passionate about covering songs that our audience will recognize and enjoy, but you'll be sure to hear our own soulful twist!
Our history
Tenaya, the lead singer of Brass Oaks, earned her Bachelor’s degree from San Francisco State University, where she received professional vocal training and developed the strong, expressive voice that now leads the heart of our sound.
Charles, the lead guitarist, came to music from a different direction. While working on an engineering project, he built a guitar by hand. After spending countless hours shaping and creating the instrument, he decided he might as well learn how to play it. What started as curiosity turned into a deep love for music, leading him to pursue classes in music theory and musicianship.
Together, Brass Oaks blends trained vocals, self-taught grit. Our sound is rooted in acoustic warmth and story-telling through music.

What to Expect from our Shows:
Our set covers artists like Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Dolly Parton, Lord Huron, Kansas, Carly Simon, Cage the Elephant, Marty Robbins, Colter Wall, Lana Del Rey, and Midland, Modern English, and more.
